About Us

Our Studio

Welcome to Aimee's Premier Dance!  We are located just South of Lincoln in Hickman, Nebraska.  Our experienced instructors teach a variety of styles, ability levels and ages.  All of our classes use  family friendly and age appropriate music, choreography and costuming.  Our brand new studio features a sprung floor, storage cubbies for dancers and an observation window for easy viewing for parents.

At Aimee's Premier Dance, we strive to teach the very best dance technique while also building self confidence and encouraging kindness in each dancer.
Aimee Parker
Originally from Norwalk, Iowa, Aimee has been dancing since the age of five.  She has lived in Hickman with her husband, Scott and daughter, Malina since 2012.  Her talent afforded her many teaching and performing opportunities over the years.  She traveled the country teaching high school dance teams with NDA (National Dance Alliance) summer camps.  During her time at UNL she was also a member of the Scarlet dance team, performing at football, basketball and championship games.
Aimee earned a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Education and Human Sciences for Fashion Merchandising and Marketing at University of Nebraska.  After graduation she pursued a career in the fashion industry, but soon realized teaching dance was her true passion in life.  She began teaching full time and has never looked back.
Her teaching career includes over 15  years of experience.  Aimee has taught all styles including  ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop and pom in Des Moines, Lincoln and Elkorn.  She served as the competition coach for Lincoln Southeast High School Shirette dance team from 2008-2017.  Her coaching and choreography led the team to top finishes in the Nebraska State Competition, Regional competitions in Chicago and two National Championships in Orlando, Florida.  Other choreography achievements include many top placing group dances and choreography awards at regional competitions around the midwest.  Aimee stays up to date with the latest dance trends and techniques by regularly attending conventions and master classes.
Many of Aimee's former students have continued on to University dance programs and dance teams.  Some have also become college and high school coaches and dance teachers.  When Aimee is not teaching she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and relaxing with friends.

"I believe in bringing out the best in each of my students.  I strive to motivate and inspire them in every class.   I am excited to be able to share my passion for dance and provide a positive outlet for the next generation of dancers."

“I dance because it occupies my mind, engages my spirit, enlarges my heart, and expends my energy.  I teach because I want to make a difference.  I’ve worked with Ms. Aimee for several years and she is one of the most creative choreographers I’ve had the pleasure of working with.  She’s respectful and kind while having high expectations and I’m excited to be able to work with her in this capacity!”
