Tiny Tots

Ages 2 - 3 years
30 minutes

A parent child class consisting of rotating activities including dancing, tumbling, games,  and obstacle courses.  Classes are held once a week for a five week session.
*Tiny tots will not perform in the annual recital

Dress Code: Comfortable athletic style clothing
Hair: Pulled back off of face.
Shoes: vary with activity

Combination Classes

K - Grade 3
45-60 minutes

Dancers will learn beginning ballet and tap terminology and technique.  Level I (Kindergarten-1st grade) also introduces dancers to jazz.  Level II (grades 2 -3) is ballet/tap with an optional jazz class offered at a separate time.

Dress Code: solid colored leotard, pink tights, ballet skirt (optional)
Hair: Pulled back off of face (ponytail, braid, bun)
Shoes: Pink leather ballet shoes, black tap shoes.

Preschool I

Ages 3-4
45 minutes

Preschool II

Ages 4-5
45 minutes

Our preschool class is a combination of ballet and creative movement.  Dancers will learn beginning ballet and explore other types of movement through music and songs.

Dress Code: Pink leotard, pink footed dance tights, pink ballet skirt (optional).
Hair: Pulled back off of face (ponytail, braid, bun)
Shoes: Pink leather no tie ballet shoes.
Our preschool II class is a combination of ballet, creative movement and tap.  This class introduces the basics of tap as well as building on the ballet elements learned in the Preschool I class.

Dress Code: Pink leotard, pink footed dance tights, pink ballet skirt (optional).
Hair: Pulled back off of face (ponytail, braid, bun)
Shoes: Pink leather no tie ballet shoes and black patent tap shoes.

Jazz

Grades 2 & up
45 minutes

Hip Hop

Grades 2 & Up
45 minutes

A high energy style of dance that incorporates isolations, turns, leaps and technical tricks.
*Level II & up must be enrolled in ballet or LTT

Dress Code: Athletic style top, dance shorts, capris or leggings.

                            *No running shorts or baggy t-shirts.
Hair: Pulled back off of face (ponytail, braid, bun)
Shoes: Tan leather jazz slip on.

A street dance styles primarily performed to hip-hop music including elements of jazz isolations, popping, locking and breaking.

Dress Code: Athletic style top, sweatpants, joggers. *No jeans
Hair: Pulled back off of face (ponytail, braid, bun)
Shoes: Sneakers

Leaps, Turns & Tricks (LTT)

A technique class focused on turns, leaps, tricks, stretching and conditioning.  A great addition to any dancers' repertoire.
*LTT does not perform in the annual recital.

Dress Code: Athletic style top, dance shorts, capris or leggings.
                           *No running shorts or baggy t-shirts.
Hair: Pulled back off of face (ponytail, braid, bun)
Shoes: Tan half shoes or tan leather slip on

Grades 6 & Up
45-60 minutes

Ballet

Grades 4 & Up
60-75 minutes

An artistic dance form performed to music using precise and highly formalized set steps and gestures.  Ballet is the building block of all dance styles.

Dress Code: solid colored leotard, pink tights, ballet skirt (optional).
Hair: Bun
Shoes: Pink leather split sole ballet shoes.

Invitation Only

Pointe

Lyrical/Contemporary*

Grades 4 & up
45 minutes

*Must be enrolled in ballet or LTT.
 A style of dance created from the fusion of ballet, jazz and/or modern. Lyrical dance focuses on the expression of strong emotion and concentrates on an individual approach and expressiveness of the movements.  Contemporary dance tends to combine the strong and controlled legwork of ballet with modern dance's stress on the torso, and also employs contract-release, floor work, fall and recovery, and improvisation characteristic of modern dance.

Dress Code: Athletic style top, dance shorts, capris or leggings.
                           *No running shorts or baggy t-shirts.
Hair: Pulled back off of face (ponytail, braid, bun)
Shoes: Tan half shoe or barefoot

*Must be enrolled in ballet
Classical ballet technique that concerns pointe work, in which a ballet dancer supports all body weight on the tips of fully extended feet within pointe shoes.

Dress code & hair: same as ballet.
Shoes: Pink pointe shoes.  Brand & style vary by dancer.

Ages 13 & up
45 minutes

A high energy class fusing dance, fitness and choreography.  This class is sure to have you shaking and sweating!

Dress code: Athletic apparel and sneakers

A punch card must be purchased for this class $30 for 5 classes and $50 for 10 classes.  Aimee's Premier Dance parents receive a $10 discount on punch card purchases

Adult Dance Fusion

Dance 101

The perfect class for older dancers with little to no dance experience.  This class covers basic dance technique and terminology in a variety of styles.  This class is also a great addition for those in cheerleading, musical theater or show choir.

Dress Code: Athletic style top, dance shorts, capris or leggings.
                           *No running shorts or baggy t-shirts.
Hair: Pulled back off of face (ponytail, braid, bun)
Shoes: Tan half shoe or tan jazz shoe

*Current students must be enrolled in at least one class during the fall season.  During the summer, dancers who took during the school year are still considered current students.
